Harrington IV
I'm currently a second year student at Exceptional Minds, a school for people with autism, located in Sherman Oaks, California. It's a school that teaches autistic people who have artistic abilities how they could their gifts to good use through animation and visual effects.

My dad, Blaine Harrington III, is a professional travel photographer, and during my teen years I would always spend time with him in his office at home. He taught me how to use photoshop on the computer and I used in to help enhance some old photographs of his and use it to fix up photos I took myself. Exceptional teaches photoshop too, but they teach us how to combine how to mix different images together and have them become one. It's a practice for visual effects. I learned how to work with stuff in After Effects, like tracking moving objects on screen and attaching something else that would follow it. Another thing I've enjoyed is learning how to make cool lower thirds or text effects. They also taught us how to replace green screen backgrounds with something else.
I am also apart of group at school, known as Write and Forge. Students who also enjoy the process of writing write articles for the school on whatever, reviews or experiences they've haddkuring their time at the school. I've written two articles about field trips the students have taken to special places like Sony Pictures Animation, Warner Bros. Studios.

I never thought of doing work in the visual effects department as a career, but life is about learning new things and visual effects has become a interesting subject to learn about. And I've always appreciated all the work that gets put into movies and television. I've always told people that it takes a lot of hard work to make a movie and a lot of people who are apart of the project devote themselves and their talent to help bring it to life.
About Me
Hello, my name is Blaine Harrington IV. I am a graduate from Exceptional Minds where I learned visual effects, such as compositing, rotoscoping, clean platting, and split comp. Another thing I learned was motion graphics. I have experience in doing puppetry in After Effects, and I've made 3D models in Cinema 4D. I've also created a 3D environment in Unreal Engine 4.
